Dr. Seuss

Yesterday was Dr. Seuss Day at my sons school. Getting off the bus, sporting a bright red and white striped paper hat, I said, did you wear that the whole way home? “Yes!” he said, proudly. “and only one boy called me a dork”.

While I watch my one son learn to read, I watch my other son writing college papers. Everyday you balance whether you did the right thing, are doing the right thing, and if you should do it the same way again.

Until you get a random text at 11:20pm from the soon to be 21 year old out of the blue that simply says.
MOM. I LOVE YOU.

or walk in the living room to see your little one like this.

So, to quote Dr. Seuss (again)
Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.

running downhill

Just when i thought maybe we had kicked the snow and were on the downhill turn toward nice weather – we get more. THESE were obviously taken before all the snow.. Wouldnt it be nice to see green grass?!!! Stay Warm!

the cat in the hat

should we try to take it off of her? mom said.
leave it. I said. i love dr. seuss too.

Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.
Dr. Seuss

there is no canceling

If I canceled sessions because of snow. 1. I’d never get to play. 2. i’d never get to play with kids. 3. i’d never get to play with kids and their dogs.:)
