toothless
by Kathy Wolfe ~ April 18, 2008
We scoured the neighborhood, skipping down the street, jump roping here and there, for the yard with the greenest grass. It is still just Spring here in PA, after all..and not all the green is in yet. We found a beautiful one..and decided to take a nice little rest. Why do I photograph children? What other “job” allows you to lay in neighbors green grasses on your belly on a warm spring day, taking photographs of little toothless laughing girls. It allows me for - in those hours - to really feel life in the uninhibited way they do.. I cant imagine doing anything else…

Love that toothless grin and the jump-rope picture is so perfect … it’s the quintessential childhood image - it just doesn’t get any better than that.
Happy Spring!
